James Altucher for Forbes: The Technology Loop

Posted On May 1, 2019 | Web/Print

James Altucher, an editor for Choose Yourself Financial and author of the book Choose Yourself!, was referenced in a Forbes article, “10 Ways to Stop Your Smartphone Ruining Your Life,” about the impact of devices on daily life.

In the article, the author notes James’ comments about the loop he frequently finds himself in that involves checking on “blog comments, Twitter mentions, Amazon rankings” and other things linked to devices — and how this quick glance can turn into a “20-minute loop that he can do multiple times a day if he’s not careful.”

The article is a step-by-step guide that includes suggestions like wearing a watch, buying an alarm clock and getting better at describing and remembering as ways to ensure we are in control of our devices, instead of the other way around.
