Alan Knuckman for Bloomberg TV: Bullish Newmont Options Play

Posted On May 29, 2019 | Broadcast

Alan Knuckman, editor at St. Paul Research, appeared on Bloomberg TV to discuss U.S. stock performance and his current options strategy.

“Well, I’m old school, and for me bond yields going lower, that’s a positive, because the choice is putting your money into the stock market or putting it into Treasuries. I don’t think there’s any choice, and obviously, it’s getting worse for that safety factor there. So I think there’s going to be money that’s going to flow into the stock market,” said Knuckman. “We’re obviously at the time right now where we’re after earnings season. There’s always uncertainty, and that’s why a play comes in here that’s an uncertainty play. I’m looking for gold, never gets old. I think the risk/reward is on the bullish side for this market that’s been going absolutely nowhere for the longest time.”

Knuckman also commented on Newmont Mining and how traders should consider a bullish options trade.
