He was a professional portfolio manager for more than 10 years and authored the first comprehensive guide to American Depositary Receipts, International Investing with ADRs.

Joel Bowman is the Managing Editor of the Rude Awakening and author of its Weekend Edition. After completing his degree in media communications and journalism in his home country of Australia, Joel moved to Baltimore to join the Agora Financial team. From here, his keen interest in travel and macroeconomics took him to New York where he regularly reported from Wall Street. He currently lives in and writes from Southern California.
