Frequently Asked Questions
How do I log in to the website?
When you order an Agora Financial publication, you will be prompted to create a temporary username and password, or you will be assigned one. These temporary logins will allow you instant access to the subscription until your permanent username and password are available. If you are an existing customer and don't see temporary logins in your confirmation email that is because our system recognized you, and gave you access to your newest subscription with the username and password you use for your existing subscription(s). Once your order is fully processed, your permanent username and password will be located at the TOP and BOTTOM of your first email alert. It will look like this: customer number: 12345678 username: DOE12345 password: 12345 If you have misplaced or cannot locate your log-in information, please call our customer service at (800) 708-1020 or email us at customerservice@agorafinancial.com. Please allow a 24 to 48 hour response time on all email requests.
What do I do if I forgot my password?
If you misplaced, or can't remember your password, please click here. You will be asked to provide the username or e-mail address associated with your account.
How can I change my username and password?
You can change your logins by going to “My Account.” (located above this FAQ section). Under “Account Security,” you will see your username and password. Hit the button below that to change your password. You can also email us at customerservice@agorafinancial.com or call us at (800) 708-1020.
I am having trouble accessing special reports
As a new or existing customer, you have access to all the reports for the service(s) to which you are subscribed. Please log onto www.agorafinancial.com (at the top right corner of the website). Once you log in, you will see “My Current Subscriptions.” Scroll down and click on your publication. Once the new page loads, click on “Reports.” For your convenience, we’ve created a video tutorial to make sure you’re getting the most out of our online services. You can view that by clicking here: agorafinancial.com/temp/custservtutorial.php If you are having trouble downloading the PDF version of the reports and issues, you may want to update your Adobe software. It's free and safe to use. To download Adobe, click this link: get.adobe.com/reader
What are “cookies”?
Cookies are most commonly used to track website activity. When you visit a particular website, the server that hosts that website sends a cookie that acts as an identification card to your browser. Upon each return visit to that site, your browser passes that cookie back to the server. In this way, the server can gather information about which Web pages are used the most and which pages are gathering the most repeat hits.
How can I update my contact information?
You can change your logins by going to “My Account.” (located above this FAQ section). Under “Account Information,” you will see your name and address. Hit the button below that to change your address. When you look further below, you will see you have the ability to update your email address for each publication you have with Agora Financial. You can also email us at customerservice@agorafinancial.com or call us at (800) 708-1020.
When will I receive my first issue?
If the publication you are subscribed to sends out mailed monthly issues, your first mailed issue will be delivered about a month after your subscription start date. Emailed alerts are usually received about one week after your subscription order is processed. Click here to view our publishing schedule.
When does my subscription expire?
You can see your subscription expiration dates by going to “My Account” (see above). Then, under “Current Subscriptions,” you will find how many issues you have left. Renewal notifications will be sent to you unless you ask not to be notified. If your subscription is on automatic renewal, we will send you a reminder postcard about a month before we renew your subscription.
I am not receiving any mail or email what do I do?
If you are not receiving mailed issues, please call or email us. Note: Not every subscription we offer sends issues via postal mail. If you are having trouble receiving emails from us, follow these directions to make sure your email provider is not flagging our emails as spam: agorafinancial.com/whitelist-us
What is the difference between the Agora Financial Reserve, the Agora Financial Equity Reserve, and Agora Financial Resource Reserve?
The Agora Financial Reserve is a VIP membership that includes all of the Agora Financial publications with the exception of the Bulletin Board Elite. The Agora Financial Equity Reserve is a VIP membership that includes these stock research letters: Penny Stock Fortunes, Capital & Crisis, Technology Profits Confidential, Lifetime Income Report, Apogee Advisory, and Outstanding Investments, as well as these micro-cap research letters: Mayer's Special Situations, Energy and Scarcity Investor, and Breakthrough Technology Alert. Lastly, the Agora Financial Resource Reserve is a VIP membership that includes Energy and Scarcity Investor, Outstanding Investments and Fear & Greed Trader.
But I thought the Reserve membership included everything that you offer…
The Bulletin Board Elite is not included in the Reserve because the stocks in the portfolio are too thinly traded. If Agora Financial were to include the Reserve subscriber base in this service, the impact would manipulate the stock prices too drastically.
Too many buyers combined with too few stock shares trading can result in artificial price swings. As exclusive as the Reserve is, the editorial staff of the Bulletin Board Elite maintains a strict limit on the number of subscribers to avoid these swings. After I pay the initial subscription fee for a lifetime membership, what is my financial obligation to Agora Financial?
All of our VIP lifetime memberships include an annual maintenance fee that covers the administrative cost of maintaining your account as well as the cost of newsletter mailings, the Agora Financial Reserve book kit, and attendance at our annual Symposium. This fee is assessed on the anniversary of your original start date.
Do all Agora Financial subscriptions have an auto-renew option?
Yes, all subscriptions can be placed on automatic renewal with a valid credit card. Auto-renewal rates are typically discounted from normal subscription rates.
I only read your email alerts. Can I go paperless?
Yes. At any time you can have your method of delivery changed to email only by calling (800) 708-1020 or by emailing your request.
Can I speak to the editor about a certain question or concern that I have?
We appreciate your constructive feedback and questions regarding our services. Agora Financial is constantly trying to best suit our services to the needs of our customers. Your questions and concerns are fundamental tools that enable us to cater to those we serve. Any comments or questions should be sent to Customer Service via email so that they can be forwarded to the appropriate manager for further handling. Please note, however, that while we are happy to assist you, securities and commodities regulations prohibit us from answering any questions that may require a response that might be deemed personal investment advice. Because of these regulations, our editors are unable answer subscriber questions personally.
I’m having trouble understanding a certain investment term. What should I do?
Try looking up the term in question in Agora Financial's glossary by clicking on the 'Glossary' button in the Customer Service section of our website (right next to the 'FAQ' button). You can also check out Investopedia, a free financial encyclopedia.
Where can I find a broker?
Due to SEC regulations Agora Financial cannot recommend or back any particular brokers. A select few of our subscriptions include a list of recommended brokers. If you need help finding a broker that fits your investment style, the free resources provided by Yahoo! Finance is a good place to start.
How much money should I invest?
The Securities and Exchange Commission regulates the financial publication industry. Due to regulations enforced by this agency, we are prohibited from providing our customers with personalized investment advice. Because we are financial journalists, not advisors or brokers, newsletters and investment advisories should never be interpreted as personalized investment advice. Any decisions related to investment amounts should be left entirely up to you and your broker.
What’s the difference between a research advisory and a newsletter?
Simply put, a research advisory is an email-only service, while a newsletter can be delivered by both email and postal mail. Our research services require frequent and time-sensitive updates that, if sent by mail, might become worthless. Our newsletters concern less time-sensitive information and can be safely sent via mail without a significant concern that the information will become outdated before it reaches you.
I live outside the United States. Can I still subscribe to your services?
The major hurdle foreign individuals face when reading our publications is taking action on our recommendations. As long as you are able to find a broker who can make the trades we recommend, you shouldn't have a problem acting on recommendations if you choose to do so. All of our offerings come with full money-back guarantees, so you can try them risk-free. Below is a list of international brokers. Please be advised that this is only a list to get you started in your search for a broker — we do not recommend or back any particular broker: International Assets Advisory: (800) 432-4402
Jefferies & Co.: (212) 284-2095
Merrill Lynch: (800) 937-0409
